Gift Aid
The Gift Aid scheme continues to provide a very valuable source of additional funding for the parish; over £3,600 in tax refund from the Inland Revenue was received for the year 2008/09. This is a very simple scheme which potentially enables the parish to reclaim 25p for every £1 you put into the collection plate, provided you pay UK income tax. All that is required is for you to sign a one-off declaration form and put your weekly contributions into a named envelope. A high proportion of the congregation are still not on gift aid; if you have not signed up for the scheme and would like to do so, information and declaration forms are available in all the churches.
